Menu Options

The Main Menu and Right-Click Menu of the WinAPE main emulation screen provide all the functions available from buttons or the keyboard function keys. The functions are:

Rewind TapeRemove the current tape Image.
Press PlayStart the emulated tape player.
Press RecordSelect a WAV file and record the tape signal to it.
 
Load SnapshotF5Load a Snapshot of the entire emulation state.
Save SnapshotF6Save a Snapshot of the entire emulation state.
Update SnapshotCTRL+F6Overwrite the previously saved Snapshot with a new one using the current emulation state.
 
Playback SessionPlay back a previously recorded Session Recording.
Record SessionCreate a Session Recording of the current session, starting with a snapshot and all key presses or changes until the recording is stopped.
 
Save ScreenshotCTRL+F7Save a Screenshot of the emulator screen.
Record AVIRecord a video of the emulator including the audio to an AVI file.
Record WAVRecord the audio output of the emulator to a WAV file.
Record YMRecord the audio output of the emulator to a YM file (requires a YM Player).
 
PokesCTRL+F8Create or Enter Pokes to modify running code or a game.
 
Auto-TypeCTRL+F5Use Auto Type to enter text and keystrokes or copy data from Windows into the emulated Amstrad.
PasteCTRL+F11Copy text from the Windows Clipboard into the emulated Amstrad.
 
ExitALT+F4Close WinAPE.

Settings Menu

Normal Speed (100%)SHIFT+F3Set the emulation speed to the normal speed at which an Amstrad operates.
High Speed (1000%)SHIFT+F4Set the emulation speed to ten times the normal speed at which an Amstrad operates. Useful for loading tapes quickly.
 
Full ScreenF10Switch between Windowed and Full Screen modes.
ResetCTRL+F9Reset the emulator.
Cold ResetSHIFT+CTRL+F9Reset the emulator and clear all memory bytes to zero.
AMX MouseCTRL+F12Toggle the AMX Mouse emulation on or off.
Multiface StopF11Press the Stop button on the Multiface (only if it is enabled and has a ROM selected).

Debug Menu
